Administrative Assistant

Position Objectives:

  • Provide Administrative and Clerical support to Production and other departments as time permits

Responsibilities:

  • Processing assembly binders
  • Printing job orders and attaching prints for Fab

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of fabrication and assembly a plus
  • Ability to read prints desired, but not required.
  • Self-motivated and strong desire to implement change
  • Strong planning and coordination abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Proficient in Excel and Word

Design Engineer

Permanent Full Time Position

AROW Global Corp. has been operating in Canada and the United States since 1965, specializing in transportation window systems for major North American bus and recreational vehicle manufacturers. AROW’s core competencies lie in the design and manufacture of transit bus window systems at its 60,000 square foot production facility located in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Position Objective:
The Design Engineer is responsible for new product development and providing design engineering support to our manufacturing operation. This is done by providing innovative solutions to manufacturing, quality and customer issues through a product development process.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the product Design Engineer will oversee all aspects of new product design and improvement. This includes the design, development, documentation, manufacturability and implementation into production.
  • The Product Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design process concurrently with quality, manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control and sales departments.
  • Project Management all design aspects.
  • Product definition through engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work in conjunction with the Business Development Manager to create major product justifications.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of bill of materials.
  • Assist quality personnel in the disposition of non-conformances.
  • Assist with first article inspections (FAI) on in-house designs and customer supplied drawings and samples.
  • Assist with supplier assessments.
  • Creation of test plans.
  • Lead design FMEA exercises.
  • Troubleshoot product issues on and off site and provide direction on the necessary corrective actions.

Position Requirements:

  • Prior window experience in mobile products or in the transportation industry is a plus.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical design including plc programming, ladder logic.
  • Prior experience with glazing materials for transportation applications desired.
  • Experience working with industry standards such at DOT, SAE, ASTM, and ANSI desired.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Associates Degree or Diploma.
  • 3D CAD modeling experience in Solid Works.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communication with manufacturing personnel, customers and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self motivated with a proven desire to implement change.

Fabrication Operators – Levels I – II – III

Second Shift Only

Exciting opportunities to join the production team with this dynamic and fast-growing business awaits the right candidates. This is a busy, high-volume, friendly environment that will suit individuals with a great eye for detail and plenty of team spirit.

Fabrication positions can include:
Hardware, Sandblasting, Slotter, Endmill, Handrilling, Drill/Punch Press, Benders, CNC, Saws, Material Handler, Shipping/Receiving.

Physical requirements will vary by position, but can include:

  • Ability to lift 10lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to lift 10-25lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs on an occasionally basis
  • Must be able to work overhead on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to work shoulder level on a seldom to frequent basis
  • Must be able to have a complete range of movement of the arms and wrist

Skills needed also vary by position, but can include:

  • Tape measure reading ability
  • Ability to read calipers and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to follow instructions/illustrations
  • Ability to follow written work orders
  • Ability to work independently

Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Providing problem resolution to ensure product quality, process consistency and product specification.
  • Leading work flow improvements through Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Mentoring production personnel in the principals of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Planning facility layouts to optimize work flow and develop proper set-up techniques.
  • Collaborate with Lead Hands and those in support functions to improve fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Assist with the procurement of tooling and fixtures

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Prior window experience in mobile products industry a plus.
  • Prior experience with glazing materials for window applications desired.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications and previous experience with an ERP or MRP system.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem solving skills a must.
  • Strong leadership; interpersonal and analytical skills along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with manufacturing personnel, customers and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Material Handler – Inventory Control & Shipping

Duties of the position:

  • Assist the shipping and receiving departments
  • Check in material and verify counts
  • Unload and place extrusion in the correct place
  • Record transactions in Syteline

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to be trained and pass certification requirements to drive stand up lift and fork lift
  • Ability to accurately record transactions in Syteline
  • Ability to work with material up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn all areas of the Inventory Control and Shipping Departments.
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit above average problem solving skills.
  • Ability to follow written work orders
  • Ability to work quickly and with accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
